Today, the IPTV users of BestTV Company, a subsidiary of SMG, reached 2 million users in trial cities in China.

SMG obtained the first operation permit in China for IPTV in March of 2005, and formed BestTV Company to start off its IPTV business operations in China. At present, the number of IPTV users in Mainland China has already exceeded those of other countries, including South Korea, the US, France, Italy, and Hong Kong, all of which operated IPTV businesses much earlier.
