193 new communication standards recently published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China will formally take effect in September. Among the standards, 168 are completely new and 25 are revisions. The new standards relate to 3G, interconnection and intercommunication within the communication network, terminal products, network security, communication network structure, optical communication, the maintenance of a communication power supply, and energy conservation and emissions reductions at Communications Bureau offices and stations.
