The annual China Digital TV Forum was held on August, 20th in Beijing.

 

At the forum, industry insiders discussed industry hot topics, including development, system reform, and innovation, creating a 3G full service network, networks and asset integration, NGB technology, the construction of next generation networks for NGN/NGI/NGB, value-added services of the bidirectional fixed network, CMMB, direct broadcast satellite technology , the 'To all village" project, etc.  

 

In terms of policies, the director of Science and Technology Bureau of SARFT, Mrs. Wang Xiaojie, explained the policies for the NGB and broadcasting digitalization. The Deputy General Engineer of the China Communication Research Institute of MIIT, Mr. Cen Jinqiao, spoke about the challenges brought by the Three Networks Convergence and the guidelines for future policy formulation.  

 

Regarding business operations, delegates from Topway, Gehua Cable Network, Hunan, and Guangxin Cable network operators will speak about the current marketing environment, bi-direction network reconstruction, and the informatization construction. In addition, experts from China Unicom, China Mobile, and other organizations and enterprises will discuss technologies and business operations for the CMMB and other new media forms in China.
