The vice minister of SARFT, Mr. Tian Jin, announced last week that Taiwanese CTAV companies will be permitted to provide technical services in Fujian Province after they have been authorized by the relevant Mainland authorities. He also indicated that SARFT is working on new policies aimed at encouraging Taiwanese industry insiders to invest in Mainland China's movie industry, cinema reconstruction, and also to promote the release Mainland films on Taiwan in order to improve the cross-strait cooperation in film and broadcasting.
