Mr. Zhang Haitao, Vice President of SARFT

CCBN2009 Keynote Speech was hold on March 20, 2009 in Beijing Exhibition Hall as scheduled.

More than 5000 people including officials nationwide in radio and TV broadcasting sector, domestic and overseas exhibitors, and visitors attended the speech. Mr. Zhang Haitao, Vice President of SARFT delivered the speech focusing on persisting in scientific development outlook, promoting the development of radio and TV broadcasting industry effectively as well as quickly, establishing the new radio and TV broadcasting system with a high standing point. Mr. Zhang summarized the development of radio and TV broadcasting industry in recent years and highlighted the major tasks of the industry as: establishing public goal system with highlighted projects such as live-broadcasting satellites, digital terrestrial televisions, etc as primary tasks; speeding up network consolidation, service sense, expanding HDTV applications, and establishing NGN Radio and TV broadcasting network with highlight projects such as CATV digitalization, networking, large-scale production, consolidation, and industrialization, etc as primary tasks; and strengthening service development, speeding up networking construction speed, completing infrastructure, promoting the industry operation of mobile multimedia radio and TV broadcasting with furthering industry-wide cooperation as primary task.

     Meanwhile, the speech pointed out that the scientific innovation is the only way to develop, and we thereby need to change our previous views and persist in creating win-win situation with cooperation in order to promote the swift development of radio and TV broadcasting industry. Mr. Zhang believes that the radio and TV broadcasting industry in China must reach a new high step with the support from all walks and the efforts of the co-workers.
