  As the behaviors and habits of TV consumers are changing greatly, it becomes increasingly important to survey and research the consumer behaviors. Meanwhile, the rapid development of Internet technology also brings inter-industry competition and complicated industry ‘competition-cooperation’ situation. Therefore, the broadcasting & TV industry has to get clearer its own strategic direction, make innovation in business mode, choose appropriate technical route and optimize industry service.
  Ericsson Consumer Lab conducted an industry research for the terminal users of the media industry, while the survey samples covered more than 40 countries and represented the consumption habits of 1.1 billion people. The professional business consulting service launched by Ericsson has gave the broadcasting & TV network companies, TV and new media enterprises in China a great hand. The broadcasting & TV products and programs customized by Ericsson for China’s industry characteristics are also adopted by numerous provincial network companies. Meanwhile, Ericsson provides all kinds of professional service to the broadcasting & TV network, TV stations and new media companies.

    用户在视频应用方面的变化为视频产业带来了巨大的挑战和机遇。我们可以在未来通过提供视频类的增值业务向用户提供新颖而有吸引力的服务,同时也帮助运营商获得更高的收益。

  As consumers across the globe continue to adopt a digital Internet lifestyle, they are redefining expectations of television viewing. New transformational experiences, starting from unified content discovery to video delivery across multiple client devices are shaping the innovations that impact the video ecosystem. Consumers want a consistent quality of experience, with synchronized viewing on any screen – whether big screen TV, tablet or phone. They also want interactive user interfaces that enable them to quickly discover personalized content and are integrated with their social networks.
  This shift in consumer behavior and their expectations of a new normal has naturally increased both business opportunities and challenges. The video ecosystem is poised to capture the value from added services well into the future, with ample opportunity to grow ARPU (average revenue per user) as consumers embrace new and compelling services.
  Fortunately, the video ecosystem can provide these compelling services with innovations in open, modular, and customizable cloud video infrastructures. These also accelerate the availability of new and valued experiences. This cloud-based infrastructure will deliver on future TV experiences, protect video ecosystem revenue with the latest content protection, and gradually evolve based on investment timeline and decisions.     三奥科技将针对广电运营商实施多屏战略中,面对的多种业务系统、多样化网络环境和多种不受控终端问题,提出了多业务系统标准化、网络虚拟化和终端统一化的技术解决思路。广电运营商利用该解决思路,采用“多屏云平台+多屏授权+统一客户端”的技术解决方案,可将多屏互动的概念从“终端使用层面”拓展到“业务互动层面”,在确保用户多屏业务体验一致的前提下,实现了多屏终端的可管、可控,并为多屏互动业务商业模式创新提供了有力手段。
  Sanao Technology proposes the technical solution of multi-service systems standardization, network virtualization and terminal unification, for cable operators to solve the problems of multi-service systems, diversified network environment and various unmanaged terminals, in the implementation of multi screen strategy. With the idea of the solution and adoption of the “multi-screen cloud platform + multi-screen entitlement + unified client” solution, cable operators can extend the concept of multi-screen interaction from “usage of terminal” to “business interaction”, and make multi-screen terminals controllable and manageable on the premise of consistent multi-screen experience, providing a powerful method for the multi-screen interaction business model innovation.

演讲概要
    造就互联家庭需要无线及有线技术相结合,才能为用户带来设备无缝连接的愉快体验。而在互联家庭中起到重要媒介作用的就是无线、电力线以及同轴电缆。无线技术适用于各种便携设备,诸如笔记本电脑、平板电脑和智能手机。利用无线网络,用户可以随时随地访问并获取信息,然而,易受干扰的缺陷仍然使其面临各种挑战。
    由于每个房间都有电源插座,电力线在整所房屋无处不在。然而电力线也同样会受到干扰,尤其是在多个设备同时使用时,性能不稳定的情况也会给用户造成困扰。
    同轴电缆最初即为视频传输所设计,在家中有电视的地方就能找到它的出口。同轴电缆是视频传输的最佳媒介,但问题在于并非每个房间都有其端口,而用户的便携式设备将无法使用它。
    由此,上述三种媒介各有优劣,结合使用便能达到最佳效果。因无论哪种技术皆非万能,用户无论如何仍需要“有线”链接。
    此次演讲将为听众概述在互联家庭应用中的重要技术,以及这些技术如何结合使用,以提供用户随时随地的接入互联。
    同时,此次演讲也会列举美国付费电视运营商利用MoCA技术与其它技术标准相结合,为客户提供多种服务的实际案例。
  The connected home requires a combination of wireless and wired technologies for a seamless and enjoyable experience. The primary mediums in the home are wireless, powerline and coaxial cabling. Wireless is great for portable devices such as laptops, tablets and smart phones. It allows the user to access content anywhere, anytime without wires. However, there are challenges as wireless is prone to interference.
  Powerline is ubiquitous throughout the house as there are power outlets in every room. But powerline can also be susceptible to interference and the user may suffer a loss of performance when other devices are in use.
  Coax was originally designed for video and outlets are generally found where you watch TV. Coax is the best medium for video but you will not use it for portable devices and there are not coaxial outlets in every room.
  A combination of the three is best. All offer advantages but also have some drawbacks. There are no silver bullets. Either way, you will still need a wire.
  This presentation will outline the most important technologies available for the connected home, and how they combine to provide access to content when and where you want it.
  The presentation will also provide examples of pay TV operators in the United States who are using MoCA technology in combination with other technology standards to provide a variety of services for the customers.
